Snugg Leather iPad 2 Case Reviewed
Leather cases for the iPad 2 aren’t exactly hard to come by, but they’re not all perfect. The ideal case is a combination of good looks, handy features and all-round protection, and the leather iPad 2 case from TheSnugg.com ticks all the boxes.
First off, it comes in black leather, accented with white machine stitching. It has a bi-fold cover which flips around the back and becomes a stand, nothing particularly new here. Where it sets itself apart, however, is the elastic hand strap for secure holding of the iPad for on-the-go use. It’s handy to have if you’re always using the iPad on the go, but not much use otherwise.

The case has a soft, nubuck fibre interior, and the iPad 2 is held in by a velcro-secured flap, keeping it extra-safe. This is a step up from a lot of cases I’ve seen, which have a worrying trend of using nothing more than a “tuck-in” flap. I’ve never had the iPad fall out of one of these, but the velcro adds extra peace of mind.
On the down side, and like many iPad 2 cases, the speaker cut-out doesn’t have perforations in the back of the case, meaning it’ll dampen your sound slightly. This very rarely surfaces as a real problem, however as the iPad 2 is loud.
There’s little more to say, it’s a good robust case but doesn’t have any defining features. If you want cheap, clean and simple then this is it.
Overall, for £30 the Snugg iPad 2 Cover/Flip Stand isn’t bad value, and is an affordable way to get that clean executive look.
