Snugg Jibitz Silicone iPhone 4 Case Reviewed
Silicone iPhone 4 cases have never been particularly compelling or difficult to come by. They’re easy to make and thus cheap to buy, making them the true bottom-of-the-barrel when it comes to cases. Not so with the Snugg Jibitz, tough. This is a silicone case with a twist.
The case comes with a 4×5 grid of blank, removable tiles in the back and a set of 26 alphabet tiles. The idea being that you can customise your case with your own set of 5 four letter words, or 4 five letter words.
Just pop out a rubber tile, and pop a letter in its place until you’ve form a word. Use the blank tiles to fill in the gaps, and you’re set.
Yes, you can imagine what sort of things we thought up to go into those 4 letters… but fortunately there’s only so much you can do with one of each letter.
And that’s the main failing of the Snugg Jibits. Those 26 letters are simply that; one of each letter. You don’t even get extra vowels, a few of which would be handy for spelling out words.
But that doesn’t really stop the Snugg Jibits from being a clever case which is actually quite fun to customise. You can put your name, a statement, or simply your own selection of profane language right there on the back of your iPhone and have an excellent talking point.
As far as the iPhone-protection credentials of the Snugg Jibits are concerned; it’s reassuringly thick and, being silicone, should adequately protect your phone from knocks.
