Clip and Talk Solar Powered Bluetooth Cat Kit
Solar power seems to be working its way into many simple, common devices. Some of the simplest are the best, with the SolarDAB being a good example. Radio lends itself well to this sort of power, and it seems that car kits do too.
The Clip and Talk Solar Powered Bluetooth Car Kit is a brilliant idea that keeps your car free from cable clutter, keeps that lighter socket free and, weather provided, never runs out of battery.
In the box comes the car kit itself, alongside a handy-dandy plastic mount with suction cups, a USB charging cable and an in-car charging kit for stints of miserable weather, or if you’re a really, really heavy user.
You’ll generally need the USB cable to give it its first charge and from there on it’ll be happy attached to your car windscreen with the suction mount where it’ll stay topped up for a reasonable number of phone calls, if not indefinitely.
My partner and designated driver makes heavy use of the Clip and Talk, it works brilliantly with her iPhone 3Gs and voice dialling allows easy, safe (and more importantly legal) calling whilst on the road. The device allows up to two phones to be paired if you have both a Work and Personal mobile, or a shared car. Obviously you can’t connect them both at the same time and place calls via your desired phone, but you can pick calls up from either phone.
The speaker is loud and clear, making this a brilliantly compact, extremely convenient and quite difficult to parallel bluetooth car kit that will only set you back a somewhat middle-of-the-road £30. There’s little more to say, other than I absolutely couldn’t recommend it more.
