Acer Launch The P5260i Professional Wireless Projector
Many people who have used projectors are intimately familiar with just what a pain it can be to hook them up to the video source. The office where I work is a prime example, opting to shove an ungainly mass of wires between desks to try and keep them under control.
It’s not surprising, then, that there would be a market for wireless projection just as there is a slowly growing market for wireless surround speakers in home cinema setups.
Acer have launched the P5260i, a worthy contender in the wireless projection market that should be just at home in a small home cinema as it is in the office. Projecting 1024×768 at a 2000:1 contrast ratio it’s not groundbreaking in regards to imagery, but more than makes up for this with wireless technology based on 802.11b/g protocols that allows 1080i/720p video projection and will even support split-screen projection from 4 separate computers.
The Acer P5260i Wireless Projector also includes a handy remote with mouse control and laser pointer functionality, and can even connect to the internet or corporate intranet to recieve interactive content; although we’re not quite sure what that entails.
